Welcome to Dvns Rm
Born and raised in Edmonton, I create under "Dvns Rm." Why Dvns Rm (Devin's Room), you ask? That’s an excellent question. One of my very best friends lived with my partner and me. When he moved out, I stood in his doorway, and he asked, "What are you going to do with my room?" Well, his name is Devin, and now I do all my very best work in his old room.
With my background in development and behavior, I've spent years studying how people think, feel, and connect with the world around them. This intuition is at the core of my photography, allowing me to capture images that go beyond aesthetics. They tell stories, hold emotion, and feel deeply personal.
As a portrait and editorial photographer, I specialize in both digital and film (with a heavy emphasis on film), offering a unique blend of grainy nostalgia and modern storytelling.
Because at the end of the day, photography isn’t just about looking back—it’s about remembering how that moment felt. Being able to close your eyes and recall the perfume you were wearing, the way the breeze touched your skin. Photos can—and should—be an immersive experience. With me behind the camera as your creative director, I promise you will leave with memories and photos.

One summer night my family and I were making homemade pizza in the backyard. The dough was far too sticky and there wasn’t enough cheese but I captured two photos. These photos were of my partner’s grandma’s hands needing the dough while we buzzed around her. These photos were published in the Hungry Zine.
